Shaad Shopnil is a Bangladeshi visual artist working primarily in painting and drawing. Her work explores memory, identity, nature, and the relationship between abstraction and representation through portraiture, layered color, and expressive mark-making.
She received her Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Painting from William Paterson University and earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) magna cum laude from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA).
